Public Hearing for Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2914, 2022 to rezone the property from R-1 (Medium Lot Residential) to R-2 (Small Lot Residential) in order to subdivide the lot into two, single family lots.

Staff would like to apply for a grant through UBCM to fund a portion of the Asset Management Plan update scheduled to be started in 2022 and completed in 2023 and require Council's approval.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve a grant application to the UBCM Asset Management Planning Program in the amount of $25,000 for the purpose of updating the City’s Asset Management Plan; OR

    2. Other.

Kate Barchard, Corporate Officer, to inform Council and the public of the Federal government’s intention to redistribute the electoral districts in BC and the potential impact on Pitt Meadows.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Direct staff, under the Mayor’s signature, to submit written comments in opposition to the newly proposed electoral district boundaries; AND
    2. Direct staff to share news of the electoral district restribution plan through the City’s social media channels and encourage public participation at the upcoming public hearings; AND
    3. Direct staff to share this staff report with Katzie First Nation leadership to ensure their awareness of these pending changes; AND/OR
    4. Other.

Colin O'Byrne, Acting Director of Planning and Development, to advise Council of a Development Variance Permit application to permit the construction of an addition at the rear of the single family dwelling at 11746 Wildwood Crescent N.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve the issuance of Development Variance Permit 2022-003 for 11746 Wildwood Crescent N to permit the construction of an addition at the rear of the single family home; OR

    2. Other.

Colin O'Byrne, Acting Director of Planning and Development, to present Council with an application to reduce the minimum required setback for a new kennel business to be located in an existing barn at 18389 Ford Road.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve issuance of Development Variance Permit No. 2022-007 for 18389 Ford Rd, to reduce the minimum required setback for a kennel to be located in an existing agricultural building; OR

    2. Other.

Dana Parr, Planner II, to present Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2864, 2020 for third reading, and request that Council refer the Regional Context Statement portion of the OCP to Metro Vancouver.

    THAT Council:

    1. Grant third reading to Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 2864, 2020 as amended; AND

    2. Refer the Regional Context Statement to the Metro Vancouver Board; OR

    1. Adopt the Drinking Water Conservation Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 2923, 2022 to align with Metro Vancouver's water conservation guidelines; OR
