  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT the following item be received into the record:

Letter from Mayor Dingwall dated May 19, 2022 addressed to the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for British Columbia, sharing the City's opposition to the proposed changes to the federal electoral districts in BC.

Carleen McDowell, Manager of Recreation and Culture, to present Council with information on current and upcoming Racquet Court projects in Pitt Meadows.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Receive for information the Staff Report titled “Update on Racquet Courts Resurfacing” as presented at the June 7th, 2022 meeting of Council; OR

    2. Other.

Justin Hart, Manager of Major Projects, together with Kate Lemon and Bassem Tawfik, KMBR Architects Planners Inc., to present Council the revised conceptual designs for the RCMP Detachment Project.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve Option 4 as the preferred conceptual design for the autonomous RCMP Detachment as presented to Council on June 7, 2022; AND
    2. Direct staff to proceed with the detailed design of the autonomous RCMP Detachment based on Option 4; OR
    3. Other.

Staff, together with Kate Lemon and Bassem Tawfik, KMBR Architects Planners Inc., to present Council the preferred site of the new Art Gallery and conceptual design for the new washblock at Harris Road Park.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve Site P-1a (New structure south of Heritage Site / north of Akasaka Japanese Restaurant), without a temporary option, as the preferred permanent location for the new Art Gallery; AND

    2. Approve Option 2 (Gender Neutral Washroom) as the preferred conceptual design for the washblock; AND

    3. Approve $992,000 for the Art Gallery relocation project to be funded from the Major Buildings Reserve; AND

    4. Approve $1,800,000 for the washblock project to be funded from the Major Buildings Reserve; AND

    5. Direct staff to proceed with the detailed design of the washblock based on Option 2 and to proceed with the conceptual design of the Art Gallery located at Site P-1a; OR

    6. Other.

Kate Barchard, Corporate Officer, to present an overview of recommended motions to be considered at E-Comm's June 23, 2022 Annual General Meeting.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. As a shareholder of E-Comm, affirm their vote in favour of all proposed resolutions for the June 23, 2022 Annual General Meeting of the Members of E-Comm, as outlined on the Form of Proxy presented to Council at the June 7, 2022 Council Meeting; AND
    2. Appoint Councillor MacDonald as the City’s authorized representative for the purposes of the June 23, 2022 E-Comm AGM; OR
    3. Other.

Colin O'Byrne, Acting Director of Planning and Development, to present to Council with a Development Variance Permit application for 14351 and 14221 McKechnie Road, which if approved would permit a lot line adjustment subdivision.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Grant issuance of Development Variance Permit No. 2022-006 to permit creation of a lot through a boundary adjustment that has an area less than that of the smallest of the lots being subdivided; OR
    2. Other.

Colin O'Byrne, Acting Director of Planning and Development, to present Council with a rezoning application to rezone 11578 195A Street from RS (Large Lot Residential) to a new CD-P (Comprehensive Development P) zone in order to accommodate subdividing the property into two lots.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Grant first and second readings to Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2921, 2022 to rezone the property at 11578 195A St. from RS (Large Lot Residential) to CD-P (Comprehensive Development P); AND

    2. Direct Staff to schedule a Public Hearing for an upcoming Meeting of Council; OR

    3. Other.

Kate Barchard, Chief Election Officer, to present Council with an amendment to Election & Assent Voting Bylaw No. 2922, 2022 that will incorporate procedures for the processing of mail ballots for the upcoming election.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Grant first, second, and third readings to Election and Assent Voting Amendment Bylaw 2924, 2022 to incorporate provisions for mail ballot voting; OR

    2. Other.
