An opportunity for Council to recognize the coordinated efforts by multiple organizations, volunteers, and staff to remove vessels of concern from the Alouette River.

    THAT the following item be received into the record:

Letter dated February 25, 2024, from Cameron Waldbauer, Resident, enclosing a petition in opposition of the installation of backflow preventers.

Carleen McDowell, Manager of Recreation & Culture, to provide an update regarding service disruptions/changes, and a timeline to re-open the Youth Lounge following a recent fire.

In alignment with United Way’s Period Promise Campaign, the City has implemented free menstrual products in various City facilities. S. Maki to provide a verbal overview of the work completed.

Patrick Ward, Director of Planning and Development, to present a rezoning application which if approved, would permit retail cannabis store at 19167 Ford Road. 

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Direct the applicant to host a Development Information Meeting regarding the application to permit retail cannabis sales at 19167 Ford Road; OR

    2. Other.

Patrick Ward, Director of Planning and Development, to provide an overview of Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2971, 2024, if approved would permit additional, non-aviation uses at the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Grant first and second readings to Zoning Text Amendment Bylaw No. 2971, 2024, to permit expanded uses at the Pitt Meadows Regional Airport; AND

    2. Direct staff to schedule a public hearing for an upcoming meeting of Council; OR

    3. Other.

Patrick Ward, Director of Planning and Development, to present a development permit amendment for a proposed expansion to Meadowtown Shopping Centre at 19800 Lougheed Highway. 

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve issuance of Development Permit Amendment No. 2002-005-014, to permit an expansion to Meadowtown Shopping Centre; OR

    2. Other.
