    THAT the following item be received into the record:

Barbara Morgan, Emergency Program Coordinator, to provide an overview of the UBCM Grant Funding opportunity.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve and support a grant application to the UBCM Emergency Preparedness Fund in the amount of $50,000 to fund Emergency Support Services Reception Centre Supplies; AND
    2. Approve and support a grant application to the UBCM Emergency Preparedness Fund in the amount of $25,000 to fund Emergency Operations Centre Workstation Chairs and Ham Radio Antenna to enhance communications and operations within the Emergency Operations Center [“EOC”]; OR
    3. Other.

Fire Chief, Mike Larsson, to provide an overview of the proposed five year agreement between the City and Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve the renewal of the Contract for Services for the provision of Search and Rescue Services as outlined in Attachment B of the Staff Report dated February 11, 2022 with a yearly increase of 2.0%; AND
    2. Request that the Mayor and Corporate Officer execute the Contract not to exceed its 5 year term; OR
    3. Other.

Anne Berry, Director of Planning & Development, to provide an overview of the Food Truck Pilot Program, which ran during the summer of 2021 and possible continuation of the program in 2022.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Direct Staff to extend the Food Truck Pilot Program to run during the summer 2022 season based on Staff's recommended modifications as outlined in the report titled "Food Truck Pilot Program – Program Review and Update" dated February 8, 2022; OR

    2. Other.

Anne Berry, Director of Planning & Development, to provide an overview of the report and Official Community Plan amendment referral from the City of Maple Ridge regarding the Lougheed Transit Corridor.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Direct Staff to send to the City of Maple Ridge a response in support of their proposed Official Community Plan amendments as outlined in the Staff Report dated February 23, 2022; OR
    2. Other.

Anne Berry, Director of Planning & Development, to provide an overview of the application that is seeking a variance to the minimum required setback to a watercourse from 15 m to 11.46 m for an agricultural building.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Direct staff to notify surrounding residents that Development Variance Permit No. 2022-001 to reduce the minimum required setback to a watercourse for an agricultural building at 19880 Richardson Road from 15 metres to 11.46 metres will be considered at an upcoming Public Meeting of Council; OR
    2. Other.

Sanitary Sewer and Drainage Bylaw No. 2890, 2021 and Waterworks Bylaw No. 2891, 2021 received first three readings at the February 15, 2022 Regular Council Meeting.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Adopt the Sanitary Sewer & Drainage Bylaw No. 2890, 2021; AND
    2. Adopt the Waterworks Bylaw No. 2891,2021; OR
    3. Other.
