Jamie Vann Struth, Consultant, to present a summary of engagement results to assist in the preparation of the Economic Development Strategy for the City of Pitt Meadows.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Receive for information the staff report titled “Economic Development Strategy Engagement Summary” as presented at the October 4, 2022 meeting of Council; OR

    2. Other.

Andy Messner, Manager of Parks, to provide Council with an update on the Community Garden Expansion and Menzies Crossing Boat Launch projects. 

Colin O'Byrne, Manager of Planning, to present an application for non-farm use of an agricultural building at 18701 Lougheed Highway for religious services.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Decline to forward to the Agricultural Land Commission the Non-Farm Use Application for events at 18701 Lougheed Highway; OR
    2. Forward the Non-Farm Use application for events at 18701 Lougheed Highway to the Agricultural Land Commission with no comments; OR
    3. Forward the Non-Farm Use application for events at 18701 Lougheed Highway to the Agricultural Land Commission with a recommendation of support; OR
    4. Forward the Non-Farm Use application for events at 18701 Lougheed Highway to the Agricultural Land Commission with a recommendation of no support; OR
    5. Other.

Leigh Rollins, Metro Vancouver Housing, to provide an overview of the Metro Vancouver Non-Market Rental Housing and Childcare Development Project at 19085 119B Avenue.  Colin O'Byrne, Manager of Planning, to present proposed bylaws for first and second readings in order to rezone the property from P-1 (Public Assembly) to CD-Q (Comprehensive Development Q) for the project.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Grant first and second readings to Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2927, 2022; AND

    2. Grant first, second and third readings to Development Cost Charges Reduction Bylaw No. 2928, 2022; AND

    3. Direct Staff to schedule a public hearing for an upcoming Council Meeting; OR

    4. Other.

Colin O'Byrne, Manager of Planning, to provide an overview of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2921, 2022 which if adopted would permit rezoning of the property at 11578 195A Street from RS (Large Lot Residential) to CD-P (Comprehensive Development P) in order to subdivide the property into two lots.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Grant third reading to Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2921, 2022 to rezone the property at 11578 195A Street from RS (Large Lot Residential) to CD-P (Comprehensive Development P); AND

    2. Require the following conditions be fulfilled prior to adoption of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2921, 2022;
      1. Payment of $4,500 as Residential Amenity Contribution as offered by the developer; OR

    3. Other.

The 2023 - 2027 Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 2931, 2022 was granted the first three readings on September 27, 2022. 

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council: 

    1. Adopt the City of Pitt Meadows 2023-2027 Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 2931, 2022; OR
    2. Other.
