• Recommended Motion:

  THAT Council:

  1. Approve $20,000 from the General  Operating Reserve to engage the services of an external consultant to carry out Council and staff education and to provide advice in the development of an internal plan in the subject of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; OR
  2. Other.

Annual Pride Initiative [PRC, Culture Division]

• Recommended Motion:

  THAT Council:

  1. Direct staff to proceed with the planning for Annual Pride initiatives, and to incorporate $5,000 into the annual operating budget to be funded through taxation; OR

Heritage Hall Accessibility [Engineering & Operations, Facilities Division]

• Recommended Motion:

  THAT Council:

  1. Review and approve Option 2 – Exterior Ramp for the Heritage Hall Accessibility Project for a one-time capital cost of $155,000 in 2022 and an annual operating cost of $1,000. Capital project to be funded $105,000 from the General Facilities Reserve and $50,000 anticipated from a provincial accessibility grant; OR
  2. Other.

Urban Forestry Strategy [Planning & Development]

• Recommended Motion:

  THAT Council:

  1. Endorse spending up to $20,000 to hire a consultant to develop an Urban Forestry Strategy for the City; OR

Place of Remembrance [PRC, Parks Division]

• Recommended Motion:

  THAT Council:

  1. Direct staff to proceed with the design and construction of a Place of Remembrance at Spirit Square - šxʷhék̓ʷnəs, with $150,000 funded through the future capital reserve funds, and incorporate $5,000 into the operating budget for annual maintenance; OR
  2. Other.

  2. Direct staff to prepare the consolidated 2022 to 2026 Financial Plan Bylaw and Utility Fee Bylaws based on the budgets and decisions made on November 22, 2021, November 29, 2021 and December 13, 2021; OR
