Fire Chief Mike Larsson, to provide recognition/service awards to long time members of Pitt Meadows Fire & Rescue Services.

Justin Hart, Project Manager - Major Projects, to provide an update on the progress and milestones as they relate to the construction of the new fire hall.

Anne Berry, Director of Planning & Development, to present to Council a non-adhering residential use application to the Agricultural Land Commission to permit retention of the existing dwelling at 19416 Richardson Rd while a new dwelling is being constructed. 

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Direct Staff to forward to the ALC, with a recommendation of support, the application for a non-adhering residential use at 19416 Richardson Road to retain the existing dwelling while a new dwelling is being constructed, subject to:
      1. The existing dwelling being demolished upon completion of the new dwelling; AND
      2. Receipt of a $50,000 bond and second dwelling agreement; OR
    2. Other.

Anne Berry, Director of Planning and Development, to present an application to rezone the property at 12258 Harris Road to develop a mixed use building, with commercial space on the ground floor and rental residential units above, in order to obtain initial feedback from Council about the concept.

  • THAT Council:

    1. Direct the applicant of 12258 Harris Road to hold a Public Consultation Meeting, in accordance with Council Policy C015, to gather feedback from the surrounding residents; AND
    2. Refer the application for 12258 Harris Road to the City's Economic Development Advisory Committee for comments regarding the proposed commercial development portion of the project; OR
    3. Other.

Anne Berry, Director of Planning & Development, to provide Council with background information regarding the draft of the updated regional growth strategy, Metro 2050.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Authorize staff to forward comments to Metro Vancouver Regional District on the Draft Metro Vancouver 2050, in substantially the form and substance of Attachment B to the October 29, 2021 staff report titled ‘City of Pitt Meadows Comments on the Metro Vancouver 2050 – Draft Regional Growth Strategy’; OR
    2. Other.

Anne Berry, Director of Planning & Development, to present Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2879, 2021 to rezone the property at 11615 195A St from RS (Large Lot Residential) to R-1 (Medium Lot Residential) in order to subdivide the property into two lots.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Adopt Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2879, 2021 to rezone the property at 11615 195A St from RS (Large Lot Residential) to R-1 (Medium Lot Residential); OR

    2. Other.
