Chris MacMullen and Alex Tougas, Ridge Meadows BMX Club, to provide Council with an update on the development and construction of a new Pump Track at Cottonwood Park. 

Carleen McDowell, Manager of Recreations and Culture, to provide a summary on recent events, including acknowledgement and gratitude to sponsors. Mayor Dingwall to present certificates of appreciation to representatives from the Onni Group and Amazon.

Mark Roberts, Chief Administrative Officer, to provide a verbal overview to Council relating to the appointment of an Approving Officer for the City of Pitt Meadows.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Rescind the appointment of Colin O’Byrne, Acting Director of Planning & Development, as the Municipal Approving Officer for the City of Pitt Meadows; AND
    2. Appoint Angie Lucas, Director of Planning and Development, as the Municipal Approving Officer for the City of Pitt Meadows pursuant to Section 77 of the Land Title Act; AND
    3. Appoint Colin O’Byrne, Manager of Planning, as a Deputy Municipal Approving Officer for the City of Pitt Meadows pursuant to Section 77 of the Land Title Act; OR
    4. Other.

       

Colin O'Byrne, Manager of Planning, to present the final report of the Air Quality Human Health Risk Assessment of railway emissions.  Matthew Wagstaff, Environmental Scientist, Air Quality Specialist from Envirochem Services Inc. will be in attendance.

    1. Receive for information the staff report titled “Air Quality Human Health Risk Assessment of Railway Diesel Emissions – Final Report,” presented at the July 26, 2022 Public Council Meeting; OR

Colin O'Byrne, Manager of Planning, to provide an overview of the School District No. 42 submission to the City for their eligible school sites proposal for Council's consideration and acceptance.

Colin O'Byrne, Manager of Planning, to present Council with a temporary use permit for a non-profit paddling club.

  • Recommended Motion:

    THAT Council:

    1. Approve issuance of Temporary Use Permit No. 2021-004 for Pitt Meadows Dike Usage Enhancement Society to use the upland portions of Lots 6 and 7, Plan NWP6144 for recreational paddling club use; OR

    2. Other.

Colin O'Byrne, Manager of Planning, to provide an update to Council regarding the third reading of Bylaw No. 2899, 2021 as per the Council meeting held on July 12, 2022 and Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2914, 2021.

    THAT Council: 

    1. Rescind third reading of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2899, 2021; AND
    2. Grant third reading of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2914, 2021 as it relates to the rezoning of the property at 19516 Hammond Road; OR
